The Masked Singer panelist Nicole Scherzinger is officially engaged to her boyfriend, Scottish former rugby player Thom Evans. The Pussycat Dolls singer shared photos from the romantic proposal on Instagram Tuesday.

Scherzinger announced her engagement by sharing two photos of her and Evans on the beach. In one shot, Evans is on one knee presenting Scherzinger with an engagement ring, while the singer covers her mouth in surprise.

In another shot, the couple smiles at each other, as Scherzinger can be seen wearing the ring on her left hand. She captioned the post, “I said yes,” and included a ring emoji and a red heart. Evans posted the same photos on his own account, writing, “My Ever After.”

The official account for The Masked Singer commented on Scherzinger’s post, “Your happiness is our happiness!!! Congrats from #TheMaskedSinger fam.”

Meanwhile, fellow rugby player Ben Foden wrote on Evans’ post, “Love you brother sooooooooo good!!!!”

The Couple Met on The X Factor: Celebrity

Scherzinger and Evans first met in 2019, when Evans was competing on The X Factor: Celebrity. He was part of the group Try Star, along with fellow rugby stars Levi Davis and Ben Foden. The group finished in fifth place. Scherzinger was a judge on the show.

The couple made their red carpet debut in January 2020. Afterward, Scherzinger said of their relationship, “I couldn’t be happier right now, and I’m really grateful.”

Evans, meanwhile, gushed about Scherzinger in a 2021 interview with The Sun, saying, “She’s so easy and fun to be around. I’ve hit the jackpot.”

Scherzinger was previously engaged to Nick Hexum, the lead singer of 311. She also dated Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and tennis player Grigor Dimitrov. Evans, meanwhile, was previously in a relationship with model and actress Kelly Brook.
