The Masked Singer National Tour has officially cancelled their last ten shows due to COVID-19. Event ticket holders will receive refunds, since the shows will not be rescheduled.

The Masked Singer National Tour Wraps Up Early

The Masked Singer National Tour announced on July 18 that they would be cancelling their remaining shows due to the coronavirus. Within the announcement they explained that COVID-19 has “made it impossible for The Masked Singer National Tour to perform” at upcoming shows in Colorado, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, and Nevada.

In addition to the official tour’s social media, host Natasha Bedingfield posted about the cancellation. As many fans of the touring series know, Bedingfield tested positive for COVID-19 last week.

“I’m doing great now and testing negative… but I think because it’s just a big team they had to make this decision for the safety and health of everyone,” Bedingfield wrote. “I hate this. Love you all and see you soon!”

The Masked Singer announced earlier this year that the national tour would return after a two year hiatus. The 50-city tour kicked off in May and is ending almost a week early. Bedingfield hosted this tour while reliving her experiences as Pepper on the series. Jewel’s Queen of Hearts, Tom Bergeron’s Taco, Latoya Jackson’s Alien, and more were alongside Bedingfield on the tour.

In addition to the previous cast members, The Masked Singer National Tour unmasked a local star in each city. The formatting featured The Masked Singer’s formula, which allowed attendees to guess who is behind the mask.

In the meantime, fans can begin looking forward to the next season of The Masked Singer on FOX. Season eight of the series begins filming in Los Angeles, California on July 24. Fans are able to submit their information now. Audience members will be tested for COVID-19 on their filming date.

The Masked Singer returns to FOX this fall on September 21 at 8/7c. The next season of LEGO Masters premieres directly after at 9/8c.
