Sal Valentinetti is one of the most memorable acts on America’s Got Talent in recent years. The charming crooner showed off an amazing voice and captured the heart of judge Heidi Klum. Valentinetti finished Season 11 in fifth place, and he later returned for the first Champions season. Since his time on the show, he’s gone on to record and perform music, including classic covers and Christmas songs.
Heidi Klum Loved Sal Valentinetti on ‘AGT’
In 2016, Valentinetti auditioned for Season 11 of America’s Got Talent. He shared that he was a 20-year-old from Long Island who delivered pizzas for a living. The singer wasted no time flirting with Klum, asking, “How you doin’?”
Valentinetti also told the judges that his late grandmother inspired his love of old-school music. He went on to perform “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. The judges gave him a standing ovation, and Klum was so impressed that she hit the Golden Buzzer, but not before giving him a hug and kiss.
Throughout the competition, Valentinetti performed One Direction’s “Story of My Life,” Sinatra’s “That’s Life,” and “Mack the Knife” by Bobby Darin. He finished the competition in fifth place, later returning for AGT: The Champions in 2019.
Klum was thrilled to see Valentinetti return. He once again performed “Mack the Knife.” Although the judges gave him another standing ovation, he didn’t make it to the next round of the competition.

Where Has Valentinetti Been Since ‘AGT’?
Valentinetti may not have won America’s Got Talent, but he went on to make singing his career. In 2017, he released an EP called The Voice, featuring covers of songs like “The Way You Look Tonight” and “You Make Me Feel So Young.” The next year, he went on tour.
The singer, now 25, has said that he had an amazing support system who helped him turn his dreams into a day job. “I still wake up every day and I am thankful that I get to sing for a living,” he said in a 2018 interview. “I mean, singing is my job; how cool is that?”
Also in 2018, Valentinetti released a holiday album called Christmas Presents. It featured the original song “When Christmas Comes to Town.” Earlier this year, the singer released a Valentine’s Day album called Little Valentine, accompanied by the No Vacancy Orchestra.
